The Age of Eternal Night descends, the Heavenly Dao sinks, transforming all living things into strange demons. The Earthly Dao collapses, shattering the universe into countless fragments. Humanity combines some of the fragments into its own Deeds, becoming the Landlords. Holding these Deeds, the beings of this Realm become the Landlords, building temples to protect them, developing blessed lands, enshrining statues, and creating gods from nothing.

Fang Mu hangs himself at the Dongyue Temple, obtaining a special Deed to the Three Realms Yuanshu, dedicating himself to the God of Mount Tai, securing the blessed land of Langfang, and lighting an auspicious golden lamp. The incense and candlelight pierce the darkness, igniting the flame of humanity.
